Kats Coffee Korner (“Kats,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a coffee business based in Los Angeles, California. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you order, pre-order, book us for an event, join our loyalty program, or simply visit katscoffeekorner.com, and how we use and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

When you place an order or pre-order

  • Your name and phone number, and email address if you provide one.
  • Your order details, pickup time, and any notes you add.
  • Payment method. Card payments are processed by Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number. Venmo, Zelle, and cash are recorded only as the method you chose.

When you request a booking or catering quote

  • Your name and phone number (email optional), your event date, time, location, guest count, the package or add-ons you select, and any message you send us.

When you join our loyalty / stamp program

  • Your phone number and your stamp/reward history. If you opt in to texts, we record that consent. See our SMS Terms.

When you join our email list

  • Your email address and the date you signed up, so we can send you occasional news, new drinks, and offers. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Automatically, when you visit the site

  • If you accept our cookie banner, Google Analytics collects standard usage data — pages viewed, approximate (city-level) location, device and browser type, and a cookie-based identifier. We enable IP anonymization. If you decline, this analytics data is not collected.
  • Basic server logs (such as IP address) used for security and to keep the site running.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To prepare and fulfill your orders and pre-orders.
  • To respond to and manage your booking and catering requests.
  • To send you order updates and, if you opt in, loyalty and marketing texts.
  • To run our loyalty program and apply rewards.
  • To understand how our site is used so we can improve it.
  • To protect the site and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:

  • Stripe — to process card payments.
  • Twilio — to send and receive text messages.
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — to send email confirmations and updates.
  • Supabase — to host our database and store site data securely.
  • Google Analytics — to measure site usage (only if you accept cookies).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use one analytics cookie, through Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. It loads only after you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. You can decline at any time by choosing “Decline,” clearing your browser storage, or using your browser’s cookie controls. Essential functionality (like your cart) does not depend on analytics.

5. Text Messaging

Text messages are always opt-in. We use your number to send order updates and, if you join, loyalty messages. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Full details are in our SMS Terms and SMS Opt-In pages.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, run the loyalty program, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your information as described below.

7. Your Choices & Rights

  • Opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email we send.
  • Decline analytics cookies using the banner or your browser.
  • Ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@katscoffeekorner.com and we will respond as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
